In 1969, Yogi Bhajan arrived in the USA as a master of Kundalini Yoga. This very ancient and highly guarded technology was released to the west, where previously it was only taught to the members of the Royal Family, members of the High Brahmin Caste or to people who had devoted 40 years of devoted practice in another form of yoga.

Yogi Bhajan commenced teaching classes in Los Angeles. His mission statement was:

"I have come to create teachers, not to gather disciples"

Kundalini Yoga is taught in numerous countries around the world, with the headquarters in Espanola, New Mexico, USA.
